Delete PDF pages without Acrobat

Deleting pages is one of the most common PDF chores, and it shouldn’t need a subscription, an installer or an upload to someone else’s server.

The file stays on your device

Delete PDF Pages processes the PDF inside your browser. The file isn’t uploaded: the page reads it, removes the marked pages and hands the new file back to you. There is no account and nothing to install.

What the new file keeps

The remaining pages are carried over as they are: selectable text stays text, vector graphics stay sharp, images aren’t recompressed, and page sizes and rotation don’t change. The pages stay in their original order. Document information and attachments stay with the file.

Links are cleaned up where they would break: a link on a remaining page that pointed to a deleted page is removed, and bookmarks that led to deleted pages are removed or emptied. Links to websites, and links to pages that remain, keep working.

The new PDF is written as a complete new file rather than as an edit appended to the old one.

What to check before you share it

Deleting pages is not the same as redacting a document. A few things are worth knowing:

Doing it in Delete PDF Pages

  1. Open the PDF. It stays on your device.
  2. Mark the pages to remove by tapping them or typing a range.
  3. Read any notes about the file, then press Delete pages.
