Delete PDF pages on a phone
You don’t need an app to remove a page from a PDF on your phone. Delete PDF Pages runs in the browser you already have, and the PDF is processed on the phone itself.
Marking pages with your thumb
Open the PDF from Files, Downloads or wherever it lives. On a phone the pages appear two per row so each thumbnail is large enough to recognise. Tap a page to mark it for deletion; tap again to unmark it. You don’t need any long-press or selection mode.
Every page has its own magnifier button in the corner if you need a closer look. For long documents, the Pages to delete field is often quicker than scrolling: 2, 4-5 or 10- for everything from page 10 onward.
Getting the new PDF on iPhone and iPad
Safari doesn’t download files the way a computer does, so on iPhone and iPad saving happens in two short steps:
- Press Prepare PDF. The new file is created on the phone.
- Press Save or share. The iOS share sheet opens; choose Save to Files and pick a folder, or send it straight to an app.
When the share sheet closes the page says Done · The PDF was sent to the destination you chose. It doesn’t say “saved”, because the page can’t see where you sent it.
If sharing isn’t available, Open PDF shows the new file in a separate tab, where the browser’s own share button can save it.
Getting the new PDF on Android
Press Delete N pages and the browser downloads the new file, usually into Downloads. A strip on the page confirms it with the file name and a Download again button.
Good to know on a phone
- Very large PDFs use a lot of memory. If a file is too big for the phone, you will see a message saying so rather than a half-finished result.
- The original PDF is never changed. The new one is called
<name>-pages-removed.pdf.
Doing it in Delete PDF Pages
- Open the PDF in your phone’s browser. It stays on the phone.
- Tap the pages to remove, or type them.
- On iPhone: Prepare PDF → Save or share. On Android: Delete N pages.
