Delete many pages at once
Tapping works for a handful of pages. For twenty, or for “everything after page 30”, typing is faster.
The range field
Pages to delete takes page numbers and ranges separated by commas:
5— one page2, 4-5— page 2, and pages 4 and 510-— page 10 and everything after it1-3, 18, 40-— any mix of the above
Spaces don’t matter (4 - 5 works), overlaps are fine (1-5, 3 marks five pages, not six), and the order you type them in doesn’t change anything. What isn’t accepted is anything ambiguous: 3 18 without a comma is rejected rather than guessed, and 8-5 is pointed out as running backwards. Nothing changes until you press Apply or Enter, so half-typed ranges never mark the wrong pages.
The field also works the other way round: as you tap thumbnails, it writes your selection out in the same form, so the line in the field is always the exact list of pages that will go.
Every second page
Open More and choose Mark odd pages (1, 3, 5…) or Mark even pages (2, 4, 6…). Odd and even refer to the page numbers you see in the grid. After that you can still tap individual pages to add or remove them.
A run of pages by pointing
On a computer, tap the first page, then hold Shift and click the last one: everything between them is marked.
What can’t be deleted
At least one page has to remain. A range that would mark every page is refused and your current marks stay as they were.
If a marked page holds form fields, saving is blocked and the message names the page — unmark it to continue.
If you only want to keep a few pages
When almost everything goes, it is often simpler to say what stays. Extract Pages does exactly that: you pick the pages to keep and it saves those as a new PDF.
Doing it in Delete PDF Pages
